Space Exploration

Space exploration is the exploration of outer space by either manned or robotic spacecraft. The first man-made object to orbit the Earth, was the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic's (USSR's) Sputnik 1, on October 4th, 1957. The USSR achieved many of the first milestones, including putting the first person in space and the first spacewalk.
