Canada

Canada is the world's second largest country in total area. It has a population of about 32 million people (2006). The capital of Canada is Ottawa. Other large cities include Victoria, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Quebec City. Canada became self-governing in 1867 while retaining ties to the British crown.
