Invertebrates

Invertebrates are animals that have no backbone. They are found all over the world, in almost every type of habitat. They range in size from single-celled animals to giant squid that weigh more than two tons (1000 kilograms).

The largest group of invertebrates are insects - more than 1,000,000 known species.
