Weddings

When two people get married they often do so at a wedding ceremony. The form of this ceremony varies between cultures and religions. In many societies the woman who is about to be married, or has just been married, is called the bride. The man who is about to be married, or has just been married, is called the groom or bridegroom.

Traditionally a girl or unmarried woman who attends the bride at a wedding is called a bridesmaid, and a Maid of Honour is the chief unmarried woman attendant of a bride. A girl who holds the bride's bouquet is called a flower girl.
