Christmas or Christmas Day is an annual holiday that marks the traditional birthdate of Jesus. Christmas is celebrated in many countries around the world. Christmas is also known as Xmas.

The name Santa Claus is derived from Sinterklaas, the Dutch name for the mythical character based on St. Nicholas.
