Finding pictures on the internet to illustrate school projects and assignments can be frustrating. Search engines can produce thousands of results; but most are not relevant, and some should never be viewed by children. Add to this the time taken to sort through all those pictures and the result can be hours of wasted effort.
The frustration of finding the right picture has been solved by Graham Meadows and Claire Vial. Through their company Schoolpix Ltd they have created www.pictures4schools.com - a photo library service for personal use only, either at home or at school. Graham and Claire have combined their own pictures with those of more than one hundred other photographers; and organisations such as the Auckland SPCA, Greenpeace, Oxfam, The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind, World Vision and the Auckland Zoo.

Graham and Claire have written and provided photography for 50 non-fiction educational books for children, published by Pearson Learning in New York. A further 16 books for 5-6 year-olds are currently in the course of publication through Cavallo Publishing in San Diego. In addition, Graham has written and illustrated more than 100 books for adults and children. Graham and Claire are the photographers for the Auckland Zoo.
